We arc compelled also, to adopt this mode to piotect ourselves from loss es which me can ill afford to suffer from delin ' subscribers, bet we do DO injustice to such prcimpt and honorable subscribers as our fricisd, for the reason above given. lie should also con sider, that the money we receive for subscrip tions would not pay much over one-half of the expense of furnishing the paper—the remainder being made up by advertisers. While, there fore, reading a paper containing daily informa tion interesting and important to him, at an ex pense winch less than the real cost of the arti cle, he ought nut to complain because required to pay for it in advance. Tana.—The Cincinnati Gazette, after enume rating the commercial troubles , which we are now undergoing and the drain of precious metals to pay for foreign goods which ought to have been made at home, says: "Is this state-of things to continue? Thts is, true, every word. We lay it down as an axiom, that it is quite poisible to do all business uponcash principles. If this be conceded, we should have no difficulty in proving the innumerable, the infinite advanta ges that would flow from it. It inno be conceded that, under the reeditaystern, the man who , payn rash, or even pays on the expiation of his term of credit, -in taxed for the delinquency of those who do not 'pay at all. Under the direction of the city, a portion of the track in Park Place, ns our readers hove already bean informed, was taken up early on Saturday morning.
