Besides such loss in the subscriptions and upon the bonds as may be necessarily incurred. Dr the above means, however, some 100, or Ito,ooo will be required in finishing the t4miles of road ilimit - or Delaware. But the Company will have :timid $50:000 worth of iron, bought for the Weal end, to he transferred to the East end, and have inverted in machinery which will he COB:11101C to the whole road about : $150,000 more. ❑ow far the earnings of the a miles of road now c ttttt ing 110 , 1 000 will contribute towards .nipplying the amount thus wanted, it is difficult now to estimate. The Board have ordered an issue of $700,000 of convertible bonds of the Company, bearing 7 per cent. interest. These, bonds are yet unsold, and it is believed may be sold so as to enable the Company to finish and equip the rend complete. The capital of this Company, as fixed by the. charter, is two millions of.dollars; of which, as already stated. Zine fuel a half millions has been subscribed, and the Company have cold bonds convertible into stork at the pleasure of tbo owner, to the amount of half a minim More— . ItO shown above, it will be necessary to raise some $420,000 more. It will therefore be necessary to increase the capital stock 'of the Company, to enable the Board by the sale of other convertible bonds to finish the read. -The amount already invested by this Company, their menus towards finishing the road, the . con flexions which bad been secured, the' charfecter lof the whole line, when its links shall be com, ' bided, as an East and Went throughllne, the country in Oltio, whose local business will le done by the road, than which there in none better, and the completion and use of the 50 milen of the rood between .Springfield nod Delaware, afford, we think, a sufficient guarantee that the neces sary means for purchasing the iron, and for fin- ishing and fully equipping the road, may be rais ed and applied in the year 1861. A emdmet has been entered into between thin CoMpany and the Little 'Miami Rail Road Cora pony, by which the latter subscribed to the. stock of this Company $200,000, and the two roadsare to be rin in close eouneation, protecting each other's business. And similar contracts have been merle with the Ohio and Pennsylvania, and with the Pennsylvania Rail Road Companien, each of said Companies taking $lOO,OOO of the stuck s 1 this Company. The officers of the-0. and P. rail road have lately promised, that with the consent of their stockholders, their subscrip tion shall be doubled, se as' to make it two hun dred thousand dollars. And when the Pennsylvania Rail Read shall be'fiuished, so as to escape the use of the Inclined planes on the mountains, which it is expected will be within the present month—the like transit may take place between Philadelphia and I'iburgh. This Pennsylvania Rail Road ka t work, dressing the mountains by a continueu II road of the very best construction, instead o going around to the North of them, losing 120 miles of distance, grc tts and Encountering the cold blasts of the Lake.— But still the Hood of trade and travel by this route must ge by the circuitous route of Crest line, and submit to the delay and inconvenience of a change and transhipment at that place of junction until our road shall bed finished. The city of Philadelphia and the two Rail Road Com panies lose more in a single season by reason of the preference given to the Lake line for want of our link in the chain, than the whole amount of stock taken in our road at Philadelphia, and they cannot afford to let our work linger. It willfur nish to them when finished distance, gradek, and curvatures considered, the best line of COMMUlli lion through Ohio, and with Cincinnati and the great South-west region that they can ever have. Besides giving them the business of the produc tive central region of Ohio through which the line passes, and opening to thenl the Most direct line to Indianapolis. 693,041 7 Tut: Casa TIICLY SrAmm.—The reader must excuse us, but on such a subject as that b ught up by the Nebraska Bill and Report, we tend to iterate and reiterate the Truth as it is.
