Accident at the New Shaft Last Evening Pay Day. The funeral of the late James Prior took place esterday afternoon and was largely attended. After a bilet service nt the house the remains were taken to the Methodist Hplscopnl church where Impressive services were conducted by the pastor, Hev. J. B. Cook, assisted by Rev. Maynnrd It. Thompson, of the First Baptist church, and Mr. F. It. Gill. The latter, who had been Intimately acquainted with the deceased for the past thirty years, spoke most feelingly nnd paid tho dead mnn n high tribute for his honorable and upright life.
