With his father 'he has been engaged for some time tear ing down a house owned by them, near Miirdock's Grove, which was gutted by flre about two years ugo. Joseph was at work nlone and It Is supposed that he was using a crowbar to loosen some boards from a beam when the whole side of the house col lapsed burying him under it big pile of boards and heavy rafters. The following ordinances passed final reading and are now ready for the mayor's signature: Establish ing grade on South Main street a.id Eightha'venue; providing for sewer on Sprlng'street and Seventh avenue and fixing appropriations for the coming fiscal year. The remarkable thing about this meeting is, that while the usual squab ble which 'accompanies the finishing work of the1 year was expected, every thing passed as harmoniously as the common chord. Even tho appropria tion ordinance went through un touched. As things stand now only one more meeting of each branch will be necessary. The deceased was 48 years of age. He Is survived by a wife and seven chil dren. He will be burled tomorrow Rf tornuon at 2.80 o'clock. Services will be held at the house. Burial will be made In tho Forest Home cemetery. The Taylors Grays Base Ball club will organize for the coming season.
