Destruction by Fire of a Feed STORE.—The alarm of fire cn ’Wednesday night, be tween 10 and 11 o'clock) was caused by the burning of the one-eton brick building, at the corner of Broad and Potts streets, in the Fourteenth ward, owned by Mr. Jo seph Silver, and occupied by H. B. Bldgway as a flour and feed store, and a hay-pressing establishment. The building and contents were almost entirely destroyed. A Portion of the stock wus saved. The stock, was valued at $6OO, and was covered by insurance. The total loss by the fire will ho about sl,t(Jo. Several horses which were in a stable in the rear of the feed store were rescued. A number of stables containing horses and vehicles ad ,oinitg the burning nruume were saved through the ex ertions of the hretnen. The origin of the tiro ia unknown, But is being investigated by Fire Marshal Blackburn. The flames first appeared in the hay mow.
