How to Help the Union Cause, jST TIU2 liAl'.D OP TOWER IIILL. What breast, imbued with noble fire, And glad our victories to greet, Dooa not most fervently desire To see the glorious work complete '! But it will cost some labor yet Rebellion’s legions to subdue, And, where their ensign now is sot, To plant the proud “ Red, White, and Blue.” We’ve enough to prompt great deeds. And men of martial mould enough— And sure our country, in her needs, Shull have of cash a quantum stiff. And while Secession’s tattered flock Beneath the war’s expenses reel, Our load, like that which moves a clock, Shall aid the work and turn the wheel. Yes* we, who pour from many hearts The land’s best Wood in Freedom’s cause, Will study economic art 3, And save our gold to aid the laws. Nor will wo ape the shabby crew Who at King Jeffy’s footstool crawl ] - But be genteel, and saving, too, By buying clothes at Tower Hall.
