He found that the yolk of an egg at cola• mon temperature, and also when bested , dues not discolor silver, even by contact ut several hours' duration. He there• fore concludes that the discoloration of the silver is due to the silver contained in the albumen, and not to that supposed to eau: •in the yolk.
