Indeed, very few are the . dfapases In Which e Purgative filed}* : cine Is not more or teas required, and moth sickness and suffering might be prevented, if . narmtess bnt effectual Cathartic were more freely used. They all tend to become or- produce the deep-seated and formidable distempers which load sho hearses all dvst the land. Hence a reliable family physic Is of the first im portance to the public health, and this Pill* has been per fected with consummate skill, to meet that demand. An extensive trial of iti virtues by Physicians, Pro femora, and , Patients, has shown results surpassing anything hitherto 4 known of any medicine. Cures have been effected beyond • belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such ex- ( alted position? and character as to forbid the suspicion of on truth. , Among the eminent, gentlemen who have tea tinea In favor of these Pills, wo may mention— Doct. A. A. HAVES, Analytical Chemist of Boston, and State Assayer of Massachusetts, whose high professional characterifl endorsed by the Hon. EDWARD EVERETT, Senator of the Halted States. ROBERT C. WIKTHROP, Ex Speaker of tho House of Minister I'M . to England. fJOHN B. FITZPATRICK, Catholic Bishop of Boston also. Dr. J. R. CHlLTON,'Practical Chemist of New York City,* endorsed by - Hon. W. L. MABCY, Pocretary of State; WM. Bv ABTOR, the richest man in America; 8. A OOn Proprietors of tte Metropolitan Hotel, and others. Did spacepennlt, we could give many hundred certifi cates from all parts where the Pills have beeUUßcd, but evi dence even more convincing than the experience of .eminent public men, is found in their effects upon trial. . • These Tills, the result of long investigation and.etudy, ? are offered lo the public as the best and most complete which the present state of medical science cab afford. 1 They are compounded not of the drugs themselves, bnt of the medicinal virtues only of Vegetable Remedies extracted by Chemical process }u a state or purity, and combined to* • gether in such a manner as to Insure the best results. £ The system of composition for medicines ha- been found in •. Cherry Pectoral and Pills both, to produce o more efficient remedy than had hitherto been obtained by any process. The reason is perfectly obvious. While by the old mode of j „ composition, every medicine is burdened with more or less | of acrimonious and Injurious qualities, by this teach Indi*,. vldoal virtue only that U desired for the curative effect la present. All tho inert and obnoxious qualities of each. * substance employed are left behind, the curative virtueo only being retained. Hence It la self evidentlhatthe effects should prove as they hove proved, more purely remedial, and the Pillsa more powerful antidote to uiAas* than any, other medicine known to the worid. As It Is frequently expedient that many medicines should be taken under the counsel of an attending Physician, and a* he could not properly judge of a remedy without know- * log Its composition, I have supplied the accurate lVrmul®> by which both my Pectoral and Pills ore made, to the; whole body of Practitioners in the United States and British American Provinces. If, however, there shoold be any ono who has not received them, they will be forwarded by mail to his request. Of all the Patent filcdldnes that are offered, how few would be taken if their composition was known! Their life consists in their mystery. I bove no mysteries. The composition of my preparations U laid open to alls? men, and all who are competent to Judge on the subject'., freely acknowledge their convictions of their Intrinsic! merits. The Cherry Pectoral was pronounced by scientific! men to bo a wonderful medicine before Its effects were;' known. Many eminent Physicians have doclaTed the samej thing of my Pills, and even more confidently, and arei willing to certify that their, anticipations were more than! realised by their effects upon trial. f They operate by their powerful Influence on the viscera to purify the blood and stimulate it into healthy? action—remove the obstructions of the stomach, liver, and other organs of the body, restoring their Irregu-j lar action to health, and by correcting, when ver they ex-{ Ist, speh derangements as are the first origin of disease. > Prepared by Dr. JAMES 0.
