Under the directions of (he committee of arrangements the H&ll has been fitted ap in an elegant manner, and enables exhibitors to display their artioles to the very best advantago. The season has been so propitious to fanners and horticulturists, that they are enabled to make a display never bofore equalled at any similar exhibition in the ooauty. The show of monstrous sized and lusoioua fruit, of all de scriptions, fills the visitor with admiration and astonishment. Peaches, apples, pears, &o. of almost fabulous dimensions, are exhibited in a profusion we never before witnessed. Nearly everything that can be cultivated in a garden or a hot house is exhibited. Amongst the beet fruit displayed, we observe tho following: Twonty-oight varmiea of apples, 33 Jo poars, “ . d 0 P ea = h ° B . anj Bof plum*, by Messrs, flootstooe & Ammond, from the Lebanon Nur serj. Berenty nine varieties of apples, by Mr. Marks, of Peebles township. This collection is a splendid one, and is probably the largest and finest in the exhibition. Sixty-three varieties of pears, exhibited by ohn Mardock, Jr. An excellent collection, and the best of the kiud in the Fair. Twenty varieties of apples and three of paaohos by William Gillmore. Sixteen varieties of apples by Mr. Dickson. This collection embraces some of the finest froit cultivated. Fifteen varieties of pears, bv W. 11 Williams, Eaq. Mr. C. L. Goehrine, of Reserve township, ex hibits many fine specimens cl crapes, peaches, apples, &o. t r * , other exhibitors, we may tako ooca- Bion to speak hereafter. Whero every one ex hibits something worthy of admiration, it may seem invidious to discriminate, and wo shall en deavor to do all justioe. The exhibition will continue open, day and evening, until Friday, and we hope none of our citizens will neglcot to visit it. The premium list will bo rnado out to day, and be published to morrow.
