He concluded by thanking the gentlemen for this unexpected pleasure, and assured them that though he had attended several banquets, at none had he enjoyed himself more. The Mitch,' Guards, of Cincinnati, taring toasted, Captain Lyons, their chief officer, who Was an invited guest, replied briefly and al pro priately, thanking the gentlemen for the compli• merit. Captain Coyle replied to a toast to the Shields Guards, of Pittsburgh. Several other gentlemen spoke; and letters were read from Col. WCandlese, and some oth ers, whose professional duties unavoidably pre vented their attending. Messrs. Glass & Carr deserve the thanks of all present for so handsomely getting up the camper. It is made from broom corn seed, but passes in Ohio, where it is used ex tensively under' the euphonious title of buck wheat. It is sold by Gardner, Allegheny oily, for four cents per pound, about half the price of buckwheat flour, and quite as good.
