" MONDAY MORNING; ' Ohio and Pehsstlvasia Baiiboad.—The-re ceipts on this road, foijthe month?of October,, bare been published, and the Increase over the same month last year is very large, -The receipts for the month exceed by 58.212,94 thoßO of Sep tember, when the large, additions ;of business growing oat of the State Fair were an element of the increase. The receipts foe September were $80,826 09. The following is an official statement of the receipts of the road : Receipts in October, 1853 “ 1852. Steel, on Saturday, gave judgment in favor of all the defendants bnt one, in the coal boat , cases which were brongbt before him by the lock keepers of Lock No. 1. Their names are Thomas Tsrwell, the owner of six boats, and John Btewart, John Murray and Thomas Krlfe, eaoh the proprietor of two boats. It was proved that their boats had been forced into a wrong' position by tho rise in the river. Uorrißon MeClnskey, however, was fined ■ twenty dollars on each of the twelve boats which he owned, and which were, lying in a place forbidden by tho provisional of.-the law. Tho Buits were brought under, as,Act of Assembly, which pro vides that if nny coni or coke boat shall necessa rily lie within two hondred yards of the lock, or I two pairs abreast lie within three-.hundred yards,, or four pairs abreast lie nt any point along the river, the proprietor of the boats Shall be fined $25 for each boat so offending. William Gardner and John Harrison, two lads convicted of lnrceny, were sentenced to the House of Bcfugo.
