The Investigation into the Dean 'Richmond, disaster was continued before the official Inspect ors Saturday. Witnesses were examined relative to the signals given on the 'vessels and the dis cipline observed among the officers and men. The one hundred and first anniversary of the John Street Methodist Episcopal Church was celebrated yesterday. Bishop Janes preached. A reunion of former pas:tort and members of the Church was held at '2 P. M. About two o'clock yesterday morning the steamship Leo, of the Savannah line, ran into the sloop David Sands, while off Governor's Island, and the latter vessel was instantly sunk. She was loaded with bricks. The steamer struck the sloop just abaft the forward batch, and crushed in her side. She Is now lying in eleven fathoms of water. The crow of the sloop were all thrown in the water. Several small boats came to their assistance. Captain Coleman and his bro ther wore, however,the only persons saved. Three of the crew were drowned; they were married and leave families unprovided for. The cause of the collision is unknown at present, but it is supposenhat the sloops' light—if she carried one —was not seen by the pilot of the steamer in time to avoid the accident.
