nun our Thiid Eaition.of.Yesteday. The Fenian Movements. - 131:77AL% June Ist,—lt is reported here that the Fenians have captured Sarnia o and Windsor. .ROCIECESTEB, N. Y., June lat—About 240, men; said to be Fenians, left this city last night, with rations prepared by Fenian; managers. They had tickets for Rome, , and probably were destined for the St. Lawrence region. They had no arms. The Fenian leaders in this city are very active, and more men will leave to-night for the Canadian frontier. TORONTO, June Ist.—There is not a word of truth in the reported capture of Sarnia and Windsor. Everything is quiet in those places. The military authorities here are on the alert and troops are moving to the exposed points. ST. ALBANS, Vt., June I.—About two hundred Feniarts arrived here this morning, from Boston. They were all in citizens' dress, and without arms or other equip ments. Their conduct, so far. is most peaceable and orderly. It is surmised that several hundred. more Fenians are to arrive here in the next twenty-four hours. BuFrAzo, June lst.—Railroad officials from Fort Erie report that the Fenians huve torn Up the track in several places, burned down some buildings back of the village, and are seizing all the horses within their reach. They have taken twenty-five or thirty prisoners, but these were released on parole after a few hours' detention. At 12 o'clock the Fenians started down the river toward Chippewa. All communi cation with Canada is now cut off at this point. The 11. S. steamer Michigan has been sta tioned opposite Fort Erie, and commands the river. BosToic, June I.—ln addition to the Fe nian cavalry regiment, the 3d Fenian infan try, Colonel Conner, 1,200 strong, has left here for the Canada border. The transpor tation for the cavalry regiment was paid through to St. Albans, by citizens ot Boston. Detachments of United States troops from Fort Warren and Independence and also from Fort Preble are under orders to leave for the northern frontier. [SECOND DESPATCH.] BUFFALO, June Ist-2.30 P.M.—The agent of the Associated Press has returned frOm an interview with a prominent "Centre," who says that from 1,500 to 3,000 men have effected a landing in Canada from this point, and are hourly receiving accessions in Canada and from this shore. They are well armed, and have six pieces of artillery. It is said to be a general de scent along the whole frontier, and that the Fenians have as many as thirteeh batteries of artillery in Canada. They have tele graphed from thig point to various cities to bring on men and goods as a landing has been effected. The men that went from here were appa rently picked and most of them have served in the Federal and rebel armies. No deci sive action or even a skirmish is anticipated for at least two days, which will allow the British troops to concentrate and the Fe nians to fortify themselves. The obstruction of the Welland Canal and the movement on Toronto is thought to be their present object. The Centres assert that no pillaging will be allowed, as they don't make war on the people of Canada, but on the British Gtovernment. From Washington. 'Special Despatch to the Bulletin.] WAsHniaToN, June I.—Business gene rally is suspended, and the city presents the appearance of Sabbath. Thenew Fenian movement excites scarcely a remark. The British Minister regards it as a mise rable fiasco. Orders have gone forth to our military officers to keep vigilant watch on the Fenian movements. General Howard is in daily receipt of most satisfactory information from all parts of the South, in reference to the working of the Freedmen's Bureau, notwithstanding the report of the President's special com mission. Honors to General Scott's Memory at Baltimore. BALTIMORE, June I.—The flags through out the city are displayed at half-mast in respect to the memory of the lamented Lientenant-General Scott. The bells are tolling. From Boston. Bosxmq, June I.—The anniversary meet ing of the New England Branch of the Freed men's Union Commission was held last night, and was largely attended. - Ex-Gov. &ndrews presided. Ewd. Pierce gave an account, saying there were 800 schools, with 40,000 pupils, and that probably there were, altogether, 100,000 children being educated. The speaker claimed that the number ought to be ten times as large and that every dol lar given to the object should be ten times as much. , The schools all through the South were crowded, and were in a nourishing condition. The Commission had been greatly aided by ,the sister societies of, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and the West. • Financial and Commercial.
