The Contract to Be Let for the Erection of a Bandgomn Structure The old brick school building at Sharps bniR is to give way to a new and liandsoine structure. The firm of Kiddle & Keirn has Just finished the plans for the proposed school building, and contractors were given the opportunity yesterday to begin making estimates. The proposed building is to have a ground floor of 40x80 feet. It will be two stories nigh and contain four schoolrooms, each of which will be 25x36 feet. There will be a 12-foot hallway, openinc neon Main street by two large folding doors. The front part of the building will be sur mounted by a tower 80 feet in height. The finishing throughout will be in native oafe with paneled ceilings. Hot air will be used to supply the heat, while the cellers will be concreted and used as play grounds in in clement weather. The entrance will be tone arched. The ionndation is to be of Drownstone and the superstructure of brick Tith stone trimmings. Peculiar Charge Made Against Foot Tonne Fellow. Frank Steel, Joseph Haney, Michael Flaherty and Edward Welsh were arrested yesterday and placed in jail to await a hearing Saturday before Alderman Mc Kenna on a charge of larceny preferred by Inspector "William McKelvey. It is alleged that the defendants have ob tained duplicate keys to the padlocks on the back gates of several downtown houses, and that at night they would open the gates, slip into the yard, where the beer was kept, and mate off with as much as they could carry.
