THOMPSON Emory Ellsworth Thompson, life- long and highly respected farmer ol Warriors Mark valley, died at his home Thursday morning of last week, following an illness of 10 weeks from a stomach allment. Mi Thompson was born September 27 1877. in Warriors Mark, a son of Isase and Sarah (Weaver) Thomp- son. He is survived by one brother, Forrest Thompson, Warriors Mark He was a member of the Methodist church of Warriors Mark. He had followed the occupation of farmer in Warriors Mark valley. Funeral ser- vices were held at the home on Fri- dav afternon, conducted by Rev, Richard Ritter. Interment was made in the Burkett cemetery MRS. ELIZABETH ELLEN OTTO Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Otto, 66, wife of David W. Otto, of Tipton, died suddenly Saturday morning at the home of Mrs. Thomas Burns, Tipton, where she was removed when she was taken ill while walking down the road to Tipton to board a bus for Tyrone. She is survived by her husband, one son and one daughte: william Otto, of Grazierville, and Mrs. Arthur Pressler, Tyrone. She is also survived by these children from a former marriage Harry Bloom State College: Mrs. Ruth Caber, Ty- rone;: Mrs. Phoebe Gregory, Harris- burg, and an adopted daughter Betty Otto, at home. Also surviving are ten brothers and sisters. Mrs Otto was a member of the Methodist church of Grazlervill MRS. MARY ELLEN SMITH Mrs. Mary Ellen Smith, 83, of Da- kota, IL, died suddenly Monday eve- Smith and moved to Illinols on April 3. 1885. They Icoated on a farm in Lancaster county and she spent the remainder of her life in the vicinity of Winneshiek. Her husband died last Anil. Leister, of Centre Hall, widow of the late Phillip Leist er, was found dead in bed Friday morning at the home of her daugh- ter, Mrs. Orpha Hall, at Lewistown She had gone to Lewistown only two days earlier for a visit with he: daughter, and apparently was in good health upon retiring Thursday night Mrs. Leister was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Burris and was bx in Penns Valley on Sep- tember 27, 1868, making her age at time of death 74 years, 2 months and 14 days. Her husband, Philip died several years ago. Survivors include these children: Mrs. Orpha Hall, Lloyd and Frank, all of Lewis. town; Blaine of Centre Hall, Mrs Minnie Mendler, of Altoona; Mrs Catherine Smith, of Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Mabel Musser, of Aaronsburg, and Mrs. Marie Bierly, of Rebers- burg, and a sister and two brothers, Irvin Burris, of Elizabethtown; Lan- in Burris, of Centre Hall, and Mi Ida Shaffer, of Altoona Funeral services were held Monday after Robert Horner, son of Mr, and Mis W.
