October 24, 1940 CENTRE HALL AND VICINITY PENN STATE PHYSICIAN DISCUSSES CANCER PROBLEMS At a joint open meeting of the Woman's Club and the PTA Tues- day evening Dr Harriet Harry, wo- man’s physician at Penn State, spoke on the symptoms, care, and cure of cancer. The meeting was sponsored by the State Health De- pariment, Dr. Harry explained that cancer is the result of rapid multiplication of cells in any given area of the regular October program. Special features of this meeting were a report on the life of Felix Mendelsohn by Mrs, David I. Gray- bill and an explanation of certain music fundamentals, such as sym- bols and time signatures, by Mrs. William P. Campbell. At the November meeting, at the | home of Mrs W., W. Kelrin, Harvey | Fink will explain one of the operas and play the musical recordings of it, Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Clay Reesman of Camden, New Jersey made a short visit here over the weekend.
