He remained there until July 1, 1902 when this piece of road was taken over by the New York Central Railroad Co. as the road was completed from Karthaus to Clearfield. The New York Central kept him there ag agent until 1922 when he was transferred to Jersey Shore where he gpent eight years From thete he was transferred to Philipsburg where he worked three years, and from there he went to Cataract where he worked until April 1, 1938, wnen he was retired alter forty-nine years and eight months of service. He began rali- roading at Cataract and ended his railroad career at the same place During his jong period of geivice he was never absent a day from duty and for six years he worked every cay in the year. Mr. Schnars has a home in Jersey Shore where he and Mrs. Schnars will spend the remain. ing days of their life. They have a son living in Jersey Shore, a daugh- ter Mrs. Grant P. Coon of Albany, N. Y., who is also employed by the New York Central, and another daughter Mis. George BR. Love of Houtzdale.
