Kuvrzrows, Pa., July 12.--One thou sand bushels of old potatoes have just been shipped from this place at twenty- five cents per bushel, They had become 50 valueless that farmers would gladly have given them away if people had called for them. When a carload of potatoes was forwarded recently to the Johnstown sufferers, attention was drawn by this act tothe large stock on hand in this vicinity. Orders then came unexpectedly from Reading, Pottstown and Philadelphia, and the price speedily advanced to twenty-five cents per bushel. ScrasTON, Pa. , July 10,—The Erie rail road surveying corps have completed running the lines through Wayne and Lackawanna counties for one of the most important branch roads ever at tempted by that company, and which contemplates bringing its coal mines at Forest City in closer communication with eastern markets.
