The greatest interest was attached to Remington Typewriter common, which sold down nearly 0 points to 27, following the announcement that the dividend payimnts on both classes of preferred stick hnd been suspended. This action attracted attention to the dividend position of many other Indus trial preferred shares and speculative selling of those issues was Indicated by the fact that many of tho preferred Industrials were in active demand in the stock loan market, generally com manding a premium of to 1-1G per cent. Pierce-Arrow preferred was a promi nent feature in this respect and was in supply from the opening, declining 2V4 points to ClJd. a new low record.
