Local 'Change Plans Higher Commissions ' ' The board of governors of Ihe Philadelphia Stock Exchange at a spirited meeting late jesterdny nfternoon voted to post a new schedule of commissions tn be chanted on the Philadelphia exchange. This follows the increases which toofe effect In New York jesterdny. and those to take effect in ltoston in a few days. The proposed commissions follow: On stock selling less thnn .flO per share, 7Vi cents per share: on stock selling at ?10 per share and over, but less than, $125. per share. 15 cents per share; on stock selling nt $125 per share and over, 20 cents per share. The minimum commission is to be $1 on any transaction. These rates are identical with the rates put Into effect iu New Yosk this morn ing The commission to be charged on transactions in bonds remains un changed nt Va of 1 per cent. The new scale, according lo the regulations of the exchange, must be posted two weeks, during which time the members have an opportunity of calling a meeting for the purpose of disapproving the proposed change. Opposition lo the proposed change has developed on the part of some members who feel that the New York rates as applied to some of the local stocks would discourage trading. A complication is caused by the fact that members of the "ooal exchange, who are also members of the New York Exchange, must charge the tew New York rates on sales of New York stocks, even though the transaction is com pleted 011 the Philadelphia Exchange. 11', 12 !S S! i.t1 ,S', S.1'4 101'j 1 704 ( i:t' 1 '.0'. : ii'4 &4'j ll.'4 Sl'j Wl'. 07', 127 117 PC. i7 .lOJi 10.' i .IS' 4 SI.' 2 "4 '.7's 127 117 00 Ii73, 77 Jim Duller MHeNHindra . .
