In fact so many accidents have been reported which are directly traceable to carelessness, that employers are beginning to regard the careless man as much less efficient, no matter how fast a workman he may be. The ' day is not far distant when a man that is careless in his work will find it difficult to retain a position in almost any walk in life, as many an employer regards a careless man as not only a menace to himself, but to fellow employes as well; and. thereby a direct liability in his employ. The careless person is a chance-taker and the chancetaker will sooner or later come to grief through an, absolutely avoid able accident. It is to this class that the greatest possible effort toward Safety should be urged, and right here It might be said that All the Suggestions in the World Will Not Prevent Accidents Unless You Are Careful Recklessness and Carelessness Go Hand in Hand The reckless person is also careless, and often even more' daring than the ordinary chance-taker, as the reckless man is apt to pay little heed to the safety warnings of others and go blindly forward into the very arms of danger without fear of the consequences. This class is undoubtedly the hardest to convince of the importance of Safety. But to all whore inclined to be careless or reckless we would set forth the follow ing resolutions, which if carefully followed would eliminate to a great extent accidents due to these causes: Resolved : Not to Take Any Unnecessary Chance This Day .
