Si Lanard, tho command ing olllcer. The major talked to his men on the duties of a soldier, and told what would be expected of them during their stay in camp. He reviewed the history of tho Fenclbles since 1812, pointing out the wars and riots in which the organization had partici pated. He then referred to tho trolley strike of 1910, and declared that at that time the Fenclbles had been called out by Director Clay for the sole purpose of dis crediting the citizen-soldiers.
