EST!—Received. the First - Preminros this Fail at our County Fair, a Silver Medal on the Teiezrah Fodder Cutter and Coleman's Farm Chopping Mill, with Prosen's improve ment. I have received at my Agricultural Implement and Seed Warehouse a large stock of the Telegraph Hay, Straw and Cornfodder Cutters, four sizes, Nos. 1,2, 3 and 4, suit able for large or email Farmers. The Telegraph Hay, Straw and Cornfodder Cutter is acknowledged to be the host Cutter now In use. We elaim a great many advantages over any now Manufactured: let, It has the down cut, all the strain Is on the frame where it should be; 2d, It is geared on both sides, and is not lia ble to wear or get out of repair • 3d, The Nos. 1 and 2 are double geared, and can be changed to cut different lengths; the shortest rut is 7 pieces to one inch Sri Cornfodder; in five minutes they can be changed to oat scant %inch for Hay or Straw. The band-wheel can (on the No. 2) be changed on either side of the Cutter to suit the power.— The greatest advantage we claim is the power. We can do as much work with one horse. as those can (that first eat, then crash) with three. Our cutter will cut shorter and make better feed, than those those that trot cut, then crush. We all know the more power it requires to drive a Cutter the sooner it will get out of repair. We will give a few references to Farmers wanting Cutters this fall: John Saner, Christian Hess, libels. I have also received a full supply of Coleman's Premium Farm Chopping Mill with Presses improvements There are a great many of our Mills now in use in this county, and all give very good satisfaction. The Mill is very mach improved over those sold two years ago. The grinding parts are 100 per cent. harder. There is a Mill running in Philadelphia which has ground from 15,000 to 20,0001inish. ele of grain, and is running yet without having any repairs done to It. PEWMIUM FOR 1.860 In order to increase the already.large circulation of the RITICISXILBOOKEB, we publish this month a splendid line engraving of Frith's picture of • Merry-Making in the Olden Time,' which-we shall, present exclusively to the $3 subscribers to the Magazine - for 1860, whether old or new. The subject represents the pastimes of. our animators, and is eminently of a genial, domestic -character: The- plate, engraved in England at an expense. of 2000. dollar& is entirely new, measures twenty-five by ninettem and:shall inches in size, contains thirty-nine figures, and is beyond comparison the finest work of the kind ever (dared as a premium in this country. The .engraving of Frith'e picture of MerryrMaking in the Olden Time, represents the humors of an English holt -day in the county in thosegood old times when the men wore cocked-beta and knee-breeches, and the women , stays and hoops—a costume not essentially differing from the corset and crinoline of the present day. Almost in the centre of the picture and a little to the back-ground is a country dance on the green, with a hard-featured fiddler perched on a high seat, and another musician in a tie-wig standing by him, playing with all their might. On the right two bouncing girls are gallypulling toward the dance a gray-haired man, who seems vainly to remonstrate that his • dancing days are over,' while a waggish little child plebes him forward from be hind; greatly to the amusement of his sponse, who is still sitting at the - testable, from which be has been dragged. On the left, under a magnifi cent spreading oak, sit the 'squire and 'hie wife, whom a countryman with his bat off is respectfully inviting to take part in the dance. To the left of the 'squire is a young couple on the gores, to whom a gipsy with an infant on her shoulder Is telling their fortune. Over the shoulders of this couple is seen k group engaged in quoit-playing,. and back of the Whole is a landscape of gentle. elopes and copses. The picture has the expression of gayety through . out and the engraving 'is splendidly executed. It is fresh from the burin of nom., not having yet been published in England!, TERMS.—Twenty-five cents per number, or $3 por an num, in advance; two copies $5; three copies $3. The postage on the Magazine (twenty-flier cents per annum) to be paid in all cases at the office where it is received. Luov 16 ly 44 THE GREATEST lIIED ICAO DISCOVERY OF TEE AGE. THE GREATEST MEDICAL DISCOV ERY OF THE AGE.—Dr. KENNY.DY, of Roxbury, has discovered, in ono of our common pasture weeds, a remedy that cures EVERY KIND OF HUMOR, from the worst Scrofula down to a common pimple. Ho has tried It in over 1100 cases, and never failed except in two cases, (both thunder humor.) Ho has now In his possession over two hundred certidratss of Its virtue, all within twenty miles of Boston. Two bottles are warranted to cure's nursing sore mouth Ono to three bottles will cure the worst kind of Pimples on the face. Two to three bottles will clear the system of Riles. Two bottles are warranted to cure the worst canker In the mouth or stomach. Three to five bottles are warranted to cure the worst case of Erysipelas. One or two bottles are warranted to cure all humor the Eyes. Two bottles aro warrantod to cure running of the oars and blotches among the hair. Four to six bottles are warranted to cure corrupt and running ulcers. One bottle will cure scaly eruption of the skin. Two to three bottles are warranted to cure the worst oases of ringworm. Two to three bottles are warranted to cure the most des perate case of rheumatism. Three to four bottles are warranted to cure the salt rheum. Five to eight bottles will cure the worst case of scrofula A benefit is always experienced from the first bottle, and a perfect cure Is warranted when the above quantity Is taken. Baader, I peddled over a thousand bottles of this in the vicinity of Boston. I know the effect of it in every case.— So sure as water will extinguish fire, so sure will this cure humor. I never sold a bottle of it, but that sold another; after a trial it always speaks for itself. There are two things about this herb that appear surprising; first, that it grows in our pastures, in some places quite plentiful, and yet its value has never bean known until I discovered it In 1848—second, that it should cure all kinds of humor, In order to give some idea of the sudden rise, and grea t popularity of the discovery, I will state that in April, 1853, I peddled it and sold about six bottles per daya—in April. 1854, I sold over one thousand bottles per. day of It. Some of the wholesale Druggists who have been in the business twenty and thirty yt.ra, say that nothing in the annals of patent medicines was over like it. There is a universal praise of it from all quarters. In my own practice I always kept it strictly fur humors —but alma its introduction as a general family medicine, great and wonderful virtues have been found in it that I never suspected. Several casts of epileptic fits - a disease which woo always considered incurable, have boen cured by a few bottles.— % what a mercy if it prove effectual in all cases of that awfultimlady—there are but few who havesecn more of It than I have. I know of several cases of Dropsy, all of them aged peo ple, cured by it. For.the various diseases of the Liver,Sick Headache, Dyspepsia, Asthma, Fever and Ague, pain in the side, Diseases of the Spine, and particularly in finesses of the Kidneys, .kc. the discovery bee done more good than any medicine ever known.
