Undoubtedly the strangest character in Eastern I'cniisylvania dieil en Monday in the nieuntiins back of Bcruville, Berks county. This was Sallle Kctner, who was known as "The Weman Hermit of the Mountains." She lived alene in a rude leg hut, away from all sficicty and neighbers. The tumble-dewn hovel fell of iu own weight Seme of the falling timberx struck the woman and she was se badly injured that bhe died shortly alter being taken from the wreck.
