Last evening about 5 o'clock as Mrs. Derwart, wife of Henry Derwart, boat beat builder, residing at Ne. 220 North Mul berry street, was getting supper ready, her two little children, Charlie and John nie, aged G and 8 years, approached the kitchen stove and Johnnie pulled ever the tea kettle, the scalding water pouring in a stream down his brother's left leg, scald ing it in a terrible manner from above .the knee down te the feet. Johnnie's left feet war, also scalded, but net se seriously. Dr. A. J. Ilerr was sent for and applied the necessary remedies, relieving the little folks as much as possible. They are very cheerful te-day, but continue te suffer a geed deal. The accident is made the mere painful te little Cuarlie from the fact that he has been lamp for ncaily a year by reason of an accident te his left knee-cap, and it se happens that the sere knee is the point at which hu is must severely scalded. Tlircc Fingers Sawed OO, Philip J. Graybill, the well-known ma chinist and sawyer, met with a very seri eus accident at his mill, 232 Seuth Water street about half past 0 o'clock this morning. While working at a circular .aw his right hand was drawn against the rapidly levelving saw, which nipped the thumb, mangled the index fiuger se badly .is te necessitate its amputation at the hecend joint. The middle linger escaped unhurt, but the third linger and the little linger weic also tciribly mangled and both icqiiin; amputation close te the hand. Dr. F. (. Albiight has charge of the case and was te have taken the fingers oil" this afternoon Mr. Gray bill is peculiarly unfortunate. lie Las suffered several serious injuries in his mill by being cut and sawed in vaiieus ways, and some two or three years age his clothing was caught by a set screw in a rapidly i evolving shaft, and he had several ribs broken. Almest every stitch of cloth ing was tern from his body, and bad net his clothing given way he would en that occasion have been inevitably killed. Tobacco Itiryers Returning. A meeting of the general committee of arrangements for the reunion of the 122d Heg't. P. V., was held last evening at Cel. Franklin's office, pursuant te the call, with a full attendance. It was unani mously decided te held the reunion en the afternoon and evening of Thursday the 17th of May next. Mrs. Fanuie Peters, whose death is re. corded iu our obituary department, was the widow of the late Abram Peters, of Millcrsville, and had lived te the advanced age of mere than four score years. She was an estimable woman, a helpmeet te her husband, lately deceased, and whom she has seen followed into the rewards of the just made perfect. Charged With Larceny. Charles W. Hunter was arrested last evening by Officer Merringer en com plaint of his undo, Geerge W. Hunter, who charges him with the larceny of an overcoat and a shirt. The accused when arrested was wearing the stolen shirt and the overcoat was found at his bearding house. He was held ler a hearing before Alderman Alex. Dennelly. Testing the Jtrire Alarm.
