It will probably have te be amputated. The unfortunate man was placed upon the news express west and brought te this city, where he was transhipped te his bearding house in Columbia. His rela tives live iu Wiightsville, Yerk eeuuty. Our Columbia correspondent writes : ' The injured man was brought te his home here this morning, where Dr. Craig attended him. A Philadelphia physician refused te attend the injured man because he was net a company doc ter, and he was obliged te endure his agony until his arrival iu this place." Freight Train Damaged. About one o'clock yesterday afternoon as a freight train was running en the Pennsylvania railroad between Leaman Place and Gordeuvillo, an axle broke aud threw several cais from the track and blockaded the read. The wreck train was sent for and the derailed cars were tpiickly righted, the broken one removed and the read opened. lUIly Ke chin's Uuutlug veg. Wm. IL Iteehm, proprietor of the "North Pele," is the owner of a very fine hunting deg. On New Year's day it mys teriously disappeared, and nothing mere was seen of it by its owner, until a day or two age when it returned home, with a heavy cellar en its neck from which dangled a chaiu tcu feet long. 3Ir. Iteahm is at a less te knev hew the deg came into pessessieu of the chain aud cellar. The deg bears a geed reputatieu for honesty, and never committed a larceny, as far as is known. 3Ir. lluchtu has no use for the cellar or the chain aud the owner of them can have them by calling at the North Pele. If it should appear that the deg stele them Billy will " lick " the deg ; and if, ea the ether hand, it should appear that the deg was stolen and tied up by the owner of the chain then Billy will lick him. His wife and six children suivive him. lie was a 3teady wei km an and an excellent musician, and was for many years a member of the cor net baud, of this city. Fer several years he suffered with a pulmenaiy affection which caused ficqucut hemorrhages, and linally resulted in consumption. Abouttwe y;ars age he removed te Philadelphia, but his health continued te fail aud for the past eleven weeks he was confined te his bed, aud died Sunday evening as above stated. He was an affectionate husband and father, a dutiful son, aud a congenial companion. He was a member of Geerge II. Themas Pest, G. A. It. of this city, but en removing te Philadelphia withdrew his card aud deposited it in a pest in that city. lie was a member of the Lutherau church. About half past two o'clock esterday afternoon the most southern of the "West Chestnut street public school buildhms which contains three rooms, occupied rcf-pcctively by 3Ir.
