LANCASTER DAILY INTELLIGENCER TUESDAY. FEBRUARY 7, 1882. Lancaster I-nirlttaencet. TUESDAY EVENING, FEB. 7. 1882. Tobacco Market. Heetl I-car and HaTann ter the "Week Kntl Ing Saturday, Feb. 4. Thu week's trausactiens aggregate about i,000 cases. Ne sale of any magnitude is reported. In cigar manufacturing cir cles it has suddenly become quieter than any one anticipated. In consequence, no purchase efleaf are being made by any of the large manufacturers. Besides this, the serviceable balance of the '80 I'enn sylvania en hand, which is held at very high figures, is yielding se little in wrap pers, that but actual and pressing necessity will induce manufacturers te buy it. The cessation, of work in facteiies certainly is depressing en the maiker, but theic exists no reason why the past yeais' yieat activ ity should net be repeated this year. The sales for the week were confined te ab.eut 450 cases of '80 Pennsylvania at from 14 te 18 cents ; 22J cases of '80 Con necticut wrappers, at 37 te 40 cents ; and some 400 cases or 'U Ohie at 0 te 11 cents.
