The Military contested .election case, in this county, was not deoided. The Board of Officers, consisting of Gen. W. H. Keim, Lieut. S. L. Young, and Lieut. JameS D. Dougher ty, met at this place on Wednesday last, at 1 o'- clock P, DI. After organization the (faience ob jected to the jurisdiction of the Board, on the ground that there was . not a snffieient number of legal anntestants,.the low requiring ono hundred. They proposed to waive the question, and allow the Board to set the election aside on•account of illegality. This was rejected by the complainants, and after purging the list of contestants, it was found only ninety. eight legal votes were append. ed. The inquiry therefore fell, the ground of ob jection by the defenats was sustained,. and the Board adjourned sine die. A new Het will be re. gaited, to tarty° the ease with one hundred legal uninformed members who voted at the election. The tax-collectors are busily en gaged tn•tho collection of their times.
