Tho means so far provided for construction have proved ample, and there is no lack of funds for the most vigorous prosecution of tho enterprise. These means are divided into four classes: I.—UNITED STATES BONDS, Having thirty years to run, and bearing six per cent, currency Interest, at tho rato of §lO,OOO per mlio for 517 miles on tho Plains; thou at tho rule of §lB,OOO per mlio for 150 miles through tho Roc ky Mountains; thou at tho rate ot §32,000 per milo for tho remaining distance, for which tho United Slates takes a second lien ns security.— Tho Interest on these Bonds is paid by tho United States government, widen also pays tho Company one-half tho amount of Its bills in money for transporting Its freight, troops, malls, Ac.
