The Phoenixville Republican, under date of Octover 23, contains the follows ing wedding anuouncement, the bride and her parents being formerly of Penns Valley : On Batarday evening at 8 o'clock, near Valley Park, in the old colonial residence of the late General Fisher, now the home of Mr. Hiram Lee, Miss Grace E., his only daughter, was mar- ried to Mr, Clair Y. Bowden, agent at the P. R. RK. station at Oaks, Pa. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. H. F. Fischer, D, D., the ring ser- vice being used. Only the immediate relatives of the familits were present. The decorations were the brilliant foli- age of Auton, and the large parlor was transformed oto a very bower of beauty. Mies Bowden, a sister of the groom, played the wedding march, as the young couple unattended, marched ander a large arch where the rite was performed. After the wedding de licious refreshments were served. The bride was the recipient of quite a number of beautiful and useful pres ents. The young couple left on the Pennsylvania R. R. at 10:13 p. m. for Niagara Falls aud points in Canada, They have the best wishes of their many friends for a happy, life. Mr. and Mrs. William Stover spent several days the past week visiting rela- tives at Harrisburg. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beckenbauch, who were visiting relatives in Franklin county the past two weeks, have return- ed home. lev. and Mrs. A. (. Staufler have just returned from Allentown at which place they were called to attend the fu- neral of the Reverend’s sister. About a month ago Howard Krape moved to Rocheste', N. Y., and today he is again a citizen of Rebersburg. Howard says there is no place like old Rebersburg, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gephart left for Illinois last week. Mr, Gephart quite recently shipped a carioad of appies to the northern part of lilinois and wants to be: there to dish the same out to eager buyers. Une night the past week one of C. C. Long's foxes dug i self out of its kennel and skipped to Smuliton where it fol. lowed the creek and soon got into one of Guerny Smull’s skunk traps.
