The Phoenixville Republican, under
date of Octover 23, contains the follows
ing wedding anuouncement, the bride
and her parents being formerly of
Penns Valley :
On Batarday evening at 8 o'clock,
near Valley Park, in the old colonial
residence of the late General Fisher,
now the home of Mr. Hiram Lee, Miss
Grace E., his only daughter, was mar-
ried to Mr, Clair Y. Bowden, agent at
the P. R. RK. station at Oaks, Pa. The
ceremony was performed by the Rev.
A. H. F. Fischer, D, D., the ring ser-
vice being used. Only the immediate
relatives of the familits were present.
The decorations were the brilliant foli-
age of Auton, and the large parlor
was transformed oto a very bower of
beauty. Mies Bowden, a sister of the
groom, played the wedding march, as
the young couple unattended, marched
ander a large arch where the rite was
performed. After the wedding de
licious refreshments were served.
The bride was the recipient of quite
a number of beautiful and useful pres
ents. The young couple left on the
Pennsylvania R. R. at 10:13 p. m. for
Niagara Falls aud points in Canada,
They have the best wishes of their
many friends for a happy, life. They
will make their bome at Oakes, Pa.
