Adams, of Port Royal, and Rev, Ham, of Liverpool, started for Johnstown in & buggy drawn by Mr. Adam's young horse, to participate in a preaching ser- vice. They had only gone a short dis- tance when one end of the shaft came loose and struck the beast on the heels, which frightened her and she com- menced to ran. Mr, Adams attempted to ran the horse into the fence with the hope of checking her speed, but she shied off, and the buggy coming in con- tact with the fence was upset and the oc- capants thrown out. Mr. Adams was bruised about the forehead and sustain. ed bodily injuries, and Mr. Ham was al- so cut and somewhat bruised. The horse became detached from the buggy soon after it upset, and thus the lives of the ministers were saved. The buggy was a total wreck.—Port Royal Times. Rev.
