To elect Tour delegates and four al ternates at large to the Republican Na tional Convention to be held in Chi cago on June 16, 1!)0S, also for the transaction of such business as may be presented. In accordance with the rule govern ing the Republican party in Pennsyl vania, the representation in the State Convention will be based on the vote polled at the last Presidential election; under the rules each legislative district is entitled to one delegate for every two thousand votes cast for the Presi dential electors in 1904, and an addi tional delegate for every fraction ol two thousand votes polled in excess of one thousand. In accordance with the call of the National Committee 08 delegates and 08 alternates are to be chosen in Penn sylvania, for the Republican National Convention, to be held in Chicago, 111., on Tuesday, June 16, 1908, to wit: Four delegates and four alternates at large to be elected at the State Con vention to be held at Ilarrisburg, Pennsylvania, April 29th, 1908, and tw > delegates and two alternates lor each of the 32 Congressional districts. Petitions of candidates in Congress ional districts for delegate and alter nate, signed by ten electors as provid ed by law, must be filed with the Board of County Commissioners not later than Saturday, March 21, 1908, and where a Congressional district is com posed of more than one county the candidate must file his petition with the Board of County Commissioners in each county of the district signed by ten petitioners residing in the county where the petition is filed. Alternate delegates to National Con vention shal be placed in nomination, elected and certified in the same man ner as delegate is to National Conven tions.
