Law, last Thursday, a girl. Geo. H. Gross is no longer red faced but he is just as hopeful as ever. John Bauer, the popular milk man, called and renewed his subscription for 100 H. Theo. Haberstock, the tailor, trans acted business in Buffalo several days this week. Miss Myrtle Smythe of Driftwood, was the guest of Miss Grace Walker last Tuesday. Frank Felt is home from Hamilton College, Clinton, N. Y., to spend his Easter vacation. Chester Hockley, of Pittsburg, was visiting his father, and friends at this place, this week. Russell McQuay has returned home after spending several weeks in the eastern part of the state. Joseph L. Wheeler has returned from South Carolina, where he ex amined a timber property. Miss Alma Hertig made this office a business call last week, renewing the subscription for the PRESS. W. L. Dixon of East Emporium was a visitor at this office this week, for the purpose of placing his ad in the PRESS. F. C. Hoyt, of Cameron, was a PRESS visitor on Monday and held up his own with "Gassaway" for an hour or two. A. M. Mattison made this office a business call last Tuesday and ordered the PRESS sent to his son Russell, at Renovo. C. C. Fay walked into our sanctum last Tuesday with ready money in his hand, and ordered his subscription re newed. Mr. Frank Halderman visited the PRE-S sanctum one evening last week, and had the date on his paper pushed ahead to 1906. Mr. John Kelley returned on Satur day from visiting at Bradford county. He stopped at Harrisbujg and viewed the new State capitol. Stephen Van Wert who has been in ill health for sometime went to Buffalo last Saturday, whert he expect to un dergo an operation. J. 15. Bedard, who conducts the mer chant tailoring establishment in Par sons' Bazaar, has been elected Exalted Ruler of St. Marys Elks, No. 437. Mrs. James McCormick, of Tidioute, Pa., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Dininny, on West Fifth street, to as sist in earing for her daughter's hi uiic ing boy. John Wade, of Meadville. is visiting his sister, Mrs. Frank Ifoag, of South Second street. Mr. Wade is on his way to visit his parents at their home in Sterling Run. Ridgway Democrat. Chas. C. Felt's place, who accepted a position with C. B. Howard Co. Hon. I. K. Hockley and wife entertain ed several friends last Friday evening in honor of Dr. and Mrs. F. C. Rieck, who leave for Chester to-day. The glycerine house of the Emporium Powder Co., blew up last Friday. No one injured, yet our people were terri bly frightened. Narrow escape. Miss Ethel Fisher, of Howard Siding, is visiting Iriends in town guest of Misss Myrtle Gregory. Miss Fisher is a student at Dickinson Seminary. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Dininny are de lighted over the arrival of a bouncing ten pound boy at their home. Owen handed out the cigars with a free hand. A number of ladies gave Mrs. G. S.
