Election, Tuesday, Nov. 7th. IS FOR 1 TICKET. DEPUTY ATTORNEY GENERAL SO DE CLARES. Says the Anthracite Region is for Plummer and That There is Nothing to Jus tify the Prediction of Berryites. HARRISLURG, Oct. 10—Deputy At torney General Fleitz has offered bis I services on the stump for the Republi can state ticket. Mr. Fleitz has been through the state and has no doubt of of the election of J. Lee Plumber, Re publican candidate for State Treasurer. "The people of Philadelphia have j been led into a false view of the state situation,"said Mr. Fleitz. '-They have | been taught to believe that there is a hard fight on ngninst J. Leo Plummer 1 for State Treasurer. This is entirely erroneous. "I can speak authoritatively when 1 say that tiie entire anthracite coal dis trict of the state is for the Republican ticket as a whole. In 1901, when Corny ' was a candidate for State Treasurer j against Harris, the two big coal count ies ' Lackawanna, and Luzerne gave him a ! majority of 20,000, and yet Harris won out by a big vote. This year these same counties will give Plummer al most as big a majority as they gave Coray. "In Pittsburg and the rest of Alle gheny county I believe Plummer will receive anywhere from 110,000 to 40,000 majority over Berry. The Lincoln party, which is backing Berry, is mak ing n<> headway outside of Delaware and Chester counties and a few other counties where local conditions are re sponsible for the split of the regular party "Ofthe Philadelphia situation there is nothing I can say further than what I said at the convention of the State League of Republican Clubs at Easton last month. Philadelphia can take care of itbell without interference from up State. When t here were local fights up-State we n ••• ived no aid and expect ed none from Philadelphia, and that is the situation now reversed. But we believe the Republican organization ihere can talrv cure of itself just as we did." SIOO Reward, sioo. The raaders of this paper will be pleased to learn that there is at least one dreaded disease that science has been able to cure in all its stages, and that is Catarrh. Ilall's Catarrh Cure is the only positive cure now known to the medical fraternity. Catarrh being a constitutional disease, requires .a con stitutional treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure is taken internally, acting direct ly upon the blood and mucous surfaces of the system, thereby destroying the foundation of the disease, s*nd giving the patient strength by building up the constitution and assisting nature in doing its work. ALL REFORM PLEDGES HAVE BEEN BROKEN Mayor Weaver Order» Police and Firemen to Work Against th® Republican Ticket. TAXPAYERS ARE INDI NT Gordon, ■ Democrat, Direct! the Pay Roll For Politic* and the Wana maker Newspapers Suppress or Dis tort the News to Suit the Purposes of a Guerilla Combine. [Special Correspondence.] Philadelphia, Oct. 10. With tho mask removed from tha so called reform party in this city, Re publicans everywhere cannot but be disgusted with the revelations of hy pocrisy. treachery and deceit, and they are going to the polls to cast an em phatic vote of condemnation of the new political combine which is seek ing to wreck the Republican party In Philadelphia. Mayor Weaver Is no longer taken seriously in his public statements and he has ceased to have the respect of men who are familiar with the politi cal Intrigue which has been under way in this city since Weaver deserted the Republican colors and took his entire administration over to tho Wanamaker- Gordon-Van Valkeuburg camp, which has for years been the refuge of in surgents aud party traitors of all classes and conditions. A Deep Laid Bcheme. The City Party which waa started by some well-meaning citizens, who were sincerely desirious of reform, has been captured by tho Wanamaker- Gordon-Van Valkenburg combine, and it no longer stands for anything which its original promoters contemplated. Like the Lincoln Party in the state, the City Party has become an asaet of Wanamakerlsm and is being used in a desperate campaign to disrupt tho Republican party to further the game which the Wanamaker politicians have in mind for the future. James Gay Gordon, Democrat, for governor, and John Wanamaker, of doubtful political standing, for United States senator, is the program on the cards of the men who are manipulat ing the City Party in this city and the Lincoln Party in Pennsylvania. As In previous campaigns when the Republican party was attacked In the rear by Wanamaker guerrillas and at tempts were made to defeat good Re publicans. regularly and honestly nom inated in accordance with the rules and regulations of the party, the rank and file of the Republican organization stand true and steadfast and are pre pared to heat back the insurgent crew to defeat and dismay at the coming election. In the other Wanamaker campaigns the Republican party was confronted with the most lavish expenditure of monoy to promote dissension and dis cord in its ranks and to strengthen the Democratic allies of these insur gents.
