Regular meeting Borough Council, Emporium, March 6th, 1904. Present: Messrs. Julian, Friendle, Catlin, Marshall, Laßar, Butler, Wheaton and Green. Messrs. Laßar, Cramer, Butler and Wheaton presented their credentials and were duly recognized as members of Council. Mr. Julian was elected temporary ehairman. Messrs. Marshall and Catlin were placed in nomination for permanent President. The ayes and nays were called and the Couneiltnen voted as follows: For Marshall, Catlin, Green and Wheaton. For Catlin, Julian, Friendle, Mar shall, Laßar, Cramer and Butler. 0. Mr. Catlin was declared elected. Moved by Julian, seconded by La- Bar I hat the salary of Secretary be fixed at $75, per year. Carried. Moved by Friendle, seconded by Marshall that C. J. Goodnough be elected Secretary tor the ensuing year. Carried. Moved by Butler, seconded by Cramer, that W. F. Lloyd, be elected Treasurer ofthe Borough and directed to deposit funds in bank in his name as Treasurer. Carried. Moved by Laßar, seconded by Butler, that Frank Mundy be elected Street Commissioner and Policeman at a salary of $5O per month for six months in winter and §6O per month for six months in summer and that he should trim the electric lights in winter. Carried. Moved by Butler, seconded by Cramer that meeting night be fixed on the first Tuesday of each month at ?::50 p. m.
