Our business men are appreciating now, more than ever before perhaps, the trade winning qualities of an ad vertisement in the Colombian. This is proven not only because its columns are so freely used by them, but as they say, an advertisement in the Colum bian always pays bi returns. Adver tisement writing" is an art by itself. It takes thought and experience to write an advertisement that is not dry, which will attract the attention of the public, and which they will read. We make a specialty of writ ing the kind of ads which sell goods, and refer to the last issue of the Columbian to prove this assertion. If you desire space, tell us what you have to sell, and we will arrange your advertisement in such a manner as will sell your goods.. Give us a trial and let us prove what we can do for you. The pupils of the public schools, were reminded through the kindness of their teachers last Friday of the near approach of Christmas. They each received a sack of candy, which undoubtedly increased their love for them. This is, and always has been a good feeling between them, and that is one of the reasons our public schools rank among the best in the State.
