Hopkins, of Bentklysville, has tried a new method of keeping older during the fall and winter which so far he pronounces a success. The following game law, as It now stands on our statute books, will be interesting to sportamen,and they should read, observe and obey it. We aro happy to learn that he la recovering. Rechatiter, Pa. Oil City is excited over the base ball business. The club is organised and ready to prove its superiority on any field. We have never yet learned the precise amount of benefit to bo derived 'from a contest of base tefillata. It wookl be interesting to.know just how Winch corn might be cultivated by the same amount of labor yearly expended in the game of base ball. The amount would not be inconsiderable, if it aggregated no more than would furnish the annual amount of whiskey used in those base ball contests.
