Ir ELISHA KENT KANE INTERNATIONAL PEACE. Having by its agitation, and by electing to Congress one man, Charles H. Randall, accomplished its first two objects, Prohibition and Woman Suf- frage, the Prohibition party now cham- pions International Peace. It wants prohibition of warfare with other countries and among ourselves at home, peace on earth, good will to men. If elected to Congress, I'll advocate peace with all the world. I believe if we had entered the League of Nations, we could have cor- rected its defects, just as the United States constitution has been benefi- cially amended 19 times. Our sacri- fice of blood and treasure, of mothers’ tears and wives’ heartaches in the war to end war would not have been in vain. But such matters are for the Senate. Our party offers for the U. S. Senate, Rachel C. Robinson, a wife and mother, against a major and a colonel. If elected to the House of Represen- tatives, I shall favor elimination as far as possible of all taxes for army and navy. Light taxes will attract foreign cap- ital and employ our own. Immigra- tion laws should be amended to en- courage home-builders. Aid for mothers and children would increase and improve our American popula- tion. Increased numbers of contented, healthy citizens are more powerful than armies and navies. See my articles on Government work for Hard Times. Also, on La- borer’s Plight. Independent of either Republican or Democratic caucus, I may be able to promote measures which neither of them will be sponsor for. T’ll write next on Industrial Peace.
