About 7 o'clock last evening, a pair of horses ran away with a carriage, near Fairmount Park. In a short time they became detached from the vehicle, and continued their course at a furious pace along tireen street to Uroad, up lhoad to Rid;;e avenue, and were finally stopped at Sixteeuth and the latter street. The following particulars of the disposition and expense of onr military establishments on the plains of New Mexico, Montana, Dakota, Arizona, an! along the line of the Union Pacific Railway, are derived from the reoent report of the Quarter master General, submitted by the Secretary of War to the Senate. By this report it appears that there are 5133 enlisted men, commanded by 104 commissioned and 60 non-commissioned officers, serving along the line of the Union Pacific Railway between Omaha, Nebraska and Bait Lake City. Along the Eastern division of the Eame railway there are zlUG privates, under f-5 commissioned and 26 non-commis sioned officers. In Montana, on the Missouri river, at and below Fort Denton, there are 1903 privates, under 115 officers, commissioned and non-commissioned, in Dakota territory there are o!23 privates, under the command of 23 'J commissioned and 72 non-commissioned of ficers.
