Anplepate testified that on the 2d of September lat he accompanied a Mr. LSI tike to the place of defendant, and wm introduced to Stewart as bt.inir "all riudt;" he then told Stewart that he wanted to pet borne stutl of him, whereupon Stewart went to a younjr man sittiuir in the bar and spoke to him m a low tone of vo ce; the younif man went out, and shortly after came bn k, and he, Stewart, and Blake went into another room; soon Stewart came out and told witness to go in, which he did; he was then shown a i-ample of twenty-five cent frac tional currency, also of five dollar bills on one of the National banks; witness said that lie did not like the five dollar bills, but would take hfty dollar' worth of the currency, and a less amount ot the fives. Stewart was consulted as ti this Arnineement, and said that he could have any amount he I'lensed. The purchase was then made and the money banded over to Stewart, who said, "Hand it to Blake."
