Latest and Moat Important PlacoTerle In the Treatment of Chronlu Diseases. DE. S. W. BECKWITII'S ELECTRICAL INSTITUTE, No. 1220 WALNUT Street. Durinn our Investigations In tho treatment of dis ease lu Its various forms by the BKOncy of electricity, we have obtained very many valuable and MUirtlln'," facts, which, added to the previous though lliuitei iul&riuatlon possessed by other and less fortunate operators, plneo us boyond all previous knowledge of this mysterious agent. During tho course of our prac tice we have treated and cured, through the know ledge thus gained, many thousauds, and by means of our new discoveries have e- tablished ourselves as the most successful Medical Electricians in this country or Europe. Electrical Investigation baa proved that the human body acts on the principle of the galvanic battery. The brain, mucous and serous membranes, the akin tissues, and lluids, constitute the negative and posi tive lorces, and every action, whether mental or phy sical, Is the result oftbese antagonistic forces. Diges tion, respiration, circulation, secretion, and excreliou are due solely to electrical Influouce. There Is a polar action established throughout the nervous system which connects with every part ol the body, establish ing and preserving a proper balance of tho electrical element which constitutes health, and a disturbance of which cnuses disease. There are strictly but two conditions ol Uisease one of Inllammatlon, or posi tive; the other, weak, debilitated, negative and as electricity contains these two conditions in the action of the positive and negative currents, all we have to do is to neutralize the dlseaae and restore proper healthy acticD, Among the chronic diseases In which electricity has been und is daily being, by our agency, of the greatest utility, a cure being rapidly effected alter the failure ot all other means, are: 1 Epilepsy, Chorea, or St, Vitus' Dance, Paralvsls (Ilemplegia).
