As the result of a num ber ol conferences by the leading lriends of religi ous education in the Episcopal Church, has been established the Evangelical Education Society. It Is designed to be auxiliary to the American Church Missionary Society. Its special purpose 'will be to secure and educate suitable candidates for the ministry. In this direction the Episcopal Church is becoming a formidable rival of the po pulous Methodist Society. Within the past few years an impetus has been given to frontier Epis copalianism, which places it far in advance of its past history in the itinerant and missionary fields on the extreme borders. Yesterday afternoon an inquest was held at Coroner Daniels' office upon the body of John Logue, who was killed by a wall tailing upon him at the northwest corner of Twelfth and Market streets, on Thursday morning. The 1 olio wing testimony was heard: Kooert Weeter, living at No. 1207 Carlton treet, testified that he keptacoil'ee-stand ut the corner, on the Twelfth street side of the build ing; had examined the buildinsr a short time before the wall tell; considered it sale; about 11 o'clock in the morning, while conversing with Mr. Keenan, the wall tell; Mr. Logue was in the street at the time loading a waeon; understood that Mr. Liggett baa notiaea tae Duudiug in tpectors to view the property. Matthew Uobertson testified that he was in the cellar at the tinv? tlvj wall fell; did not con sider the wall safe.
