DECREASE OF TBI DISEASE 2194 DEATB8 SINCE JUNE 26. The St. Petersburg correspondent of the Loudon Herald writes, under date of August 21: "The cholera appears to be steadily on the de-crca-e. Many persons well acquainted with the city declare that there is not more cholera now than there has been usually at this seuson for many years past. For the seven days endin July 31. the new cases of cholera daily averaged 256, of wnirh 60 were fatal. From the first ap pearance of the disease, on June 20, up to the end of last month, 7191 cases are reported, with 2191 deaths. At Creusiadt, up to the 28th ultimo, out ot 491 person attacked, 263 had diei, show ing a much higher rate of mortality. The Emperor was in town on July 2, and visited several of the hospitals, where be aldressed words of comfort and consolation to the cholera patient9." The Fenians Military Call.
