Hard, and long-fed steers are becoming rate, although even the low Choice and high Select stock is bringing in the mid to high 90‘s. Meat markets have trended right along with the fin ished trade, with the Choice cutout from 167.00- as of Thursday; with Select cuts from 138.00-140.00. The spot October live cattle contract at the Merc has had several limit-up gains this week, closing at 95.82 on Thursday. The Nebraska direct feedyards received from 95.00- this week for their pens of black hided steers, from 150.00-158.00 on a dressed basis. Back in the County, Holstein slaughter steers sold up to 4.00 higher this week as prices were as high as 92.75 on Thursday. Slaughter heifers were 4.00-6.00 higher.
