Proposals Sought For Jersey Research REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio The American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA) Research Foun dation has issued a request for research proposals to be funded in 2004 addressing significant problems to the Jersey breed and Jersey milk producers. The foundation sponsors annual competitive re search grants providing partial or full funding. Awards have averaged $4,800 per project from 1994 through 2003. More than $570,000 has been awarded for more than 130 investigations since 1988. Evaluative criteria for submissions are merit (po tential to advance practical knowledge, creative ap proach to the problem); competence (high probability of successful completion within the pro posed time frame); and relevance (problem derived from one of the areas of research priority).
