The FFA chapter represented by the winning team will receive the $4OO. The chapter winning the chal lenge was New Oxford High School, represented by Bob Spertzel, Jack Sheehan, Scott Anderson, and Bob Conrad, who scored a 60 at Hawk Valley. This year, all three teams at Foxchase were tied at 60. Scoring had to be determined hole-by hole, starting from Hole 18, to de termine who won. Placing first at Foxchase was a team from Seltzers Smokehouse Meats, Palmyra and Jonestown Bank. From Seltzers, team mem bers were Perry Smith and Bill Todd. Christy Bartley, youth program coordinator in Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, has assumed additional duties as program leader for Pennsylvania 4-H, the 100-year-old youth development organization administered by Penn State Cooperative Exten sion. As 4-H program leader, Bartley will establish a statewide strategic planning structure that will set the direction of the program by budding on the needs of youth and volunteer leaders. She will serve as Penn State Cooperative Extension’s 4-H rep resentative and liaison with state and federal agencies, including the Pennsylvania Departments of Agriculture and Education, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Leadership Trust, national and state program lead ers, and National 4-H Council. Bartley has served as youth program coordinator since 1994. Previously, she was a Penn State Cooperative Extension agent in Northampton and Monroe coun ties and a high school biology teacher. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Muhlen burg College and a master’s de gree in science education from Rutgers University.
