Deanna Rose Named National Dairy Council Ambassador PHILADELPHIA—Mid-Atlantic Dairy Associa tion has announced that Deanna Rose, media spokesperson and registered dietitian, was recently appointed to the 2003-2004 National Dairy Council Ambassador Group. As an ambassador, Rose will serve as a spokesperson for the National Dairy Council, par ticipating in national TV, radio and print inter views. She also will help in developing dairy image programs and will focus on promoting the new 3-A- Day of Dairy for Stronger Bones program launch. Rose was one of five ambassadors selected from among state and regional dairy promotion groups working under the umbrella of Dairy Management Inc. All are trained media spokespersons for their respective organizations. They also possess strong communication skills and a solid knowledge of dairy/nutrition science and current related topics. Rose has been with Mid-Atlantic Dairy Associa tion for five years, completing numerous TV, radio and print interviews on such topics as child and adolescent nutrition, the Food Guide Pyramid, food safety, sports nutrition, weight management and school nutrition. Prior to joining Mid-Atlantic, she Deanna Rose conducted prenatal nutrition education for low income families. Rose earned bachelor’s degrees in marketing and nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University in 1993, In 1995, she completed a dietetic internship at Simmons College in Boston to become a registered dietitian.
