For the 10th consecutive year, cable television customers have a front-row seat to Ameri ca’s largest indoor agricultural exhibition as the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) presents award-winning coverage of the Pennsylvania State Farm Show. The 2003 telecast is expected to be bigger than ever as the an nual Keystone State showcase ex pands to a second weekend. PCN’s carriage of events begins Saturday, Jan. 11, and includes high school championships ro deos, draft horse hitched compe titions, cooking demonstrations, square dancing and polka danc ing contests, horse and pony pulls, livestock judging, and the sale of champions at the Farm Show Complex. Coverage of Pennsylvania State Farm Show activities re cently brought PCN global recog nition with the network winning the first-ever “Outstanding Media Coverage of a Fair” Award from the International Association of Fairs and Exposi tions, a nonprofit organization representing more than 1,400 events around the world. The Penn State Dairy Science Club will be conduct ing a youth judging contest at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Saturday, Jan. 18, in the Large Arena.
