Due to the increased use of AT Vs (All Terrain Vehicles) to pull the mini-spreaders, special self-lubricating bearings have been added to key moving parts to allow for the faster speeds at which ATVs pull the spreaders to and from the field. The spreader no longer has grease fittings that require maintenance. Now, not only can the mini-spreaders be pulled at higher speeds, but routine main tenance for greasing is elimi nated. Glenn Musser, Millcreek product manager, explains the design change. “We found that over 30 percent of Millcreek owners use an ATV to pull their mmi-spreader. An ATV moves at a top speed of approximately 15 mph, something that our spreaders were not originally de signed to handle. The upgrade to self-lubricating bearings allows the spreaders to be pulled at these higher speeds. It’s just another way that we are con stantly improving our product to make stall cleaning faster and v. < ** ' ' ‘"V.^ %-. \ *** *' * / * Millcreek redesigned mini-spreaders.
